COVID-19: Scleroderma

Scleroderma is an autoimmune disorder caused by an overactive immune system that attacks the body's own tissues. The use of immunosuppressive treatment in scleroderma patients makes them more vulnerable to infection, including COVID-19. Also, lung involvement, i.e. lung fibrosis, is a common manifestation of scleroderma which increases the risk for patients who may be infected by the coronavirus.
